The Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California was full of people on Wednesday, September 12 as Apple was hosting their annual Keynote event. This event is to announce all new, and upcoming technologies Apple has been working on. This year Apple released three new iPhones and a new Apple Watch. These devices revolutionize the technology industry, allowing Apple to surpass their competition.

The three new iPhones that Apple announced at the Keynote event in September are the iPhone Xr, the iPhone Xs, and the iPhone Xs Max. The iPhone Xr is the cheaper, more affordable version of the iPhone X, which was released at last year’s event, and has a base price of $749. The iPhone Xr has a Liquid Retina display, which is the most advanced LCD screen in any phone created. It has an aluminum rim, and it comes in seven new and vibrant colors. The iPhone Xs and the iPhone Xs Max are similar to the iPhone X, but they have several new features and larger screens. The iPhone Xs has a 5.8” display and the iPhone Xs Max has a 6.5” display. Both phones have a Super Retina display that delivers extremely vivid colors. Both the iPhone Xs and the iPhone Xs Max are made with the most durable glass ever used in a smartphone and are water and dust resistant. The iPhone Xs has storage ranging from 64 gigabytes up to 512 gigabytes and has a starting price of $999 that can go up to $1,349. The iPhone Xs Max starts at $1,099 for 64 gigabytes and goes up to 512 gigabytes for $1,449. All three of these new iPhones have improved features and designs.

Apple also unveiled their new Apple Watch series 4 at the event. This Apple Watch revolutionized the industry of wearable technology by containing features like no other.  It is extremely functional, it has medical assistance, physical assistance and comes with incomparable general features. Apple gave the Series 4 Apple Watch a new look compared to the older generations, with a full edge to edge screen and rounded edges. The Apple Watch was designed to keep the user more “active, healthy, and connected” to friends and family right from their wrist. This apple watch comes with fall detection that is able to determine when a person has fallen, and if there is no response it will call 911 ensuring the safety of its user. The Series 4 Apple Watch also has a 30% larger screen than any other watch previously released. Additionally, this Apple Watch has a longer battery life, getting the user through a day with a single charge. The Apple Watch is available with many options like aluminum or stainless steel, many watchband styles, and two different sizes. The Apple Watch Series 4 comes in a 40 mm display and has a base price of $399 with an aluminum body, and in a 44 mm display which has a starting price of $429 also with an aluminum body. This Series 4 model also gives the user the choice of purchasing cellular and GPS which costs an additional $100. These new features are sure to be very beneficial to its user.
