Why I Forgot How to Swallow
A girl named Cara who wrote “Why I Forgot How to Swallow” talks about how when she was a little girl she was really small and always active which made her extremely underweight. She explained how it developed into an eating disorder and she was always puking and never wanting to eat. She says that it was like she forgot how to swallow. She also says that it was hard for her to like her reflection in the mirror. I felt bad for the girl in the story because I think that she shouldn’t care as much what other people think of the way she looks and that she should go get help from professionals.
