Daily Famous Word Game

Wordle is a daily word game where you have six guesses to guess a five-letter word. This is easily accessed by searching “Wordle of the Day, ” on Google, Chrome, Safari, and or any other browsing website. It is located on The New York Times website and is free for all Android, Apple, and other users. If you want to get it in six or fewer I recommend using letters C, B, T, P, S, R, E, and A because they are the most common. Personally, I use words with these letters in them and I tend to get the word on the third or fourth guess. Guessing words with a lot of vowels is your best bet because you know there needs to be at least one vowel in every word; however, I recommend that you do not want to spam random words that don’t work with the word given every day. Good first-letter words to start with are ratio, irate, stain, stare, and crane.

What I like about this game is that it exercises your brain. It is suitable for all ages: kids and adults. I also like how it makes you learn words that you don’t use daily; for example, agape and axiom are words I have never even heard of before. Another thing I love about this game is that a word has never been repeated, so new words are used daily. One Wordle is released each day, and it’s the same one for everyone around the world. There are no advertisements and no niggling notifications begging you to return each morning. It’s a great way to start your day!

Some dislikes are if you are stuck it doesn’t give you any hints unless you search for hints on Google, but most of the time if you do that it just spoils the word for you which is no fun. I think that they should give you more than six chances, truly six sometimes is just not enough. Since there aren’t any hints up front, you just start with any five-letter word. As I stated before, ratio, irate, stain, stare, and crane are great first words. When you send a guess, the color of each tile changes. If it turns green then that means you have the correct letter in the correct spot. If it turns yellow that means you have the correct letter, but in the wrong spot, and if it turns grey it means that letter isn’t in the word.

Wordle is a game you either love or hate.
