Not My Name
I can wholeheartedly agree with Aaron Mitchell in his poem,"Not My Name." It describes what naming others does. People give names to others, they bully and laugh at them, not knowing how it hurts their feelings. Many people are discriminated by the name others gave them. I remember a day at my old school, a boy was given the name "nerd" and "stupid," later that month he killed himself. When feelings get hurt, people live hard lives, making wrong desicions sometimes. The poem tells a real life situation and what others should not do. Thank you Aaron, for a moving poem.
