The World's Favorite Sport
In Ryan Guidry’s “The World’s Favorite Sport” from the September 2011 Teen Ink issue, it talks about soccer being one of the world’s favorite sports. I personally agree with this because soccer is one of the few sports that can be played no matter how much money a person has. Soccer could also help out a country’s economic status when a new stadium needs to be built and when large tournaments are being held. When stadiums need to be built, the country has to hire construction workers, which gives many people new jobs. When tournaments are held in the country, such as the FIFA World Cup, it attracts thousands of fans and tourists from hundreds of countries around the world. Soccer also promotes many positive aspects of a person’s life. For example, soccer helps with education, enthusiasm, solidarity, family involvement, and being part of a team and working with others.
