Response to "Youth Lack Life Skills"
I agree with the author because I also believe that life skills classes are more important than classes like Algebra. I can relate because take I take a Vocational Agriculture class and anything I do in there is more positive for me in the long run because it teaches simple life skills. Half of the material we learn in Algebra I probably won’t even remember after fiver years. I will get to use the skills that I learn in VO Ag. for a lifetime. I greatly understand what the author is talking about because I don’t know how to cook or sew, but I do know how work an iPhone. Knowing how to cook will be more beneficial to me later in life than knowing how run an iPhone or computer. I see the same dilemma at my high school because they require you to take a Computer Applications class but not Home Economics or Vo. Ag. class. Life skills should be required before any technology class.
