Gangs And Racism
Why do people join Gangs knowing that their own lives are in danger? People join Gangs maybe because they want to feel good about themselves. Or just do what others can’t, but why put your own lives in danger and or others? Well everyone wants something in life, or just to gain respect but not only why they join, every human being has a choice. Why ruin it? This States, “Pedro is a 20 year old Gang Leader. For most of his life he has lived off of Welfare along with his mother and uncle. He has been kicked out of schools and has served time in youth detention facilities. He also is a great human being.”(“Issues”pg.1) How can gangs be a good thing when you’re struggling?
Why are people racist? What do they hope to gain out of it? I think that people are racist just to make themselves happy or for the entertainment, but I also think that’s nothing to joke about one’s color. That’s crazy because Cesar Chavez was humiliated for being Mexican this states, “Memories of racism during his child hood years haunted Cesar Chavez the rest of his life. He long remembered the humiliation he felt when realizing the “No Dogs Allowed” signs on businesses were referring to him.
I’m not racist, but I do pitty people who made fun of others color or how their hair looks. People have also said things about my color but that doesn’t matter because words don’t hurt, but sometimes people do take it too far. But why? What’s the cause? What makes you want to hurt someone?
Everyone Has A Choice To Stop. It Starts with you.
