The Dream Book MAG
There's Danger lurking in 18-C
Fourteen floors above me.
I sure do hope that she
Will be a new found friend to me.
I boarded the lift at floor number four.
When I saw I was face-to-face
With Danger, I was frightened no more.
There was warmth in that tiny space.
"My name is Mindy Roth, for shame."
"Danger is my middle name."
"And you are Claudia Lemon, you say?
Let's you and Cupcake go out to play."
I told Danger about my dad,
And all about the dream I'd had.
And how much I worry and get so sad
And how I'm sometimes very mad.
Then Danger told me that she dreamed, too,
About teenagers in a sea of blue.
And about a monster with big eyes - four!
We'd dreamed the same dreams and much, much more.
We'd dreamed of waiting rooms and screams,
And shrinks, airports, and jello schemes.
Of penthouses, nines, and lots of clouds,
Of DJs, CDs, country-western, crowds.
We dream our dreams on the day of nine
After school, she tells me hers, I tell her mine.
These dreams might help us, clues to find
The long-lost missing dad of mine.
I hate to leave you on the hook -
To learn what happens , READ THE BOOK!
