Have you ever tried to be different? Its hard, even for one day. Try looking the way no one else looks. On the inside, everything is normal, but on the outside, you look like a new person.

You look like you are from a different planet. You make people shrug and go “ewww”. You can tell when people gasp so suddenly, its like a 6th sense. You make the worst part of peoples day, just by how you look. Now imagine, having to live like that for your whole life.

August Pullman has. August has no mental disability, in fact, he is really smart. He just has a deformity that leads to his face looking, well, melted. August is aware, but tries not to let that get to his head. He likes a lot of things that boys his age like.

He likes Star Wars and PlayStation, and absolutely loves his dog Dassie. Though he may have had more surgeries than a person would have in five lifetimes, he just wished that people would look past his face and see that he is just like everyone else. And now, a lot of people would have to learn that, that is because, it is his first time to a new school. Even though he is in the 6th grade, he was home schooled up to that point.

Wonder is a heartwarming story would be great for anybody. And, it is for all of us who have felt rejected or different. This story has a great theme to learn, and that it reaches out to anyone and everyone. I personally loved this book, and you will too.
