After reading the fiction dystopian novel Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins, I felt that the book was some what confusing, but a majority of it was action pack and drama. Mockingjay is about a girl named Katniss Everdeen who just got out of the arena of the 75th quarter quell. The other characters are Peta, President Coin, President Snow, Finnick, Katniss's mom, Gale, and Prim. Katniss and her friends and family is faced with war all throughout the book. The war is between the Capitol Vs the Rebels and District 13. But despite all that it is also about her becoming the mockingjay and her role being it.
I really feel that Mockingjays theme is based on the fact of what you can learn from a dystopian society. So like for this one don’t oppressed citizens to the limit. They will rebel. So thats what mainly what i think the theme is. Because we see all throughout the books how the capital oppressed citizens.
I feel the book was a page turner, and once you picked it up you couldn’t stop reading it. Once you got to the end of each chapter something happens and then it carries you on to the next. But at times the book was hard to follow because a lot of things happened at once. But otherwise is was a very good book. I recommend this book for anyone who read the pass books, but also the readers who enjoy drama and action. This book is a really good and I enjoy it. Its a page turner, its action pack, and a few surprising moments in between.
