                                                    "The Bat Boy"

The book  "The Bat Boy" is a very good book.  I would recommend this book to middle school boys because it is a very sports oriented and suspenseful book. The author of this book is Mike Lupica. It is about a boy named Brian and his mom that live in Detroit. Brian takes a summer job as a Detroit Tigers bat boy. Brian could not prepare for what was going to happen next.

I would say this book is for kids ten to fourteen years old. At least that is what I think! I would say that it is an all around easy to read book.  I never had any trouble reading this book. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

This story was written in a first person point of view. It was told by a youn boy with mixed emotions. This kept the story very interesting. It was also an interesting book because you never knew what was going to happen next. I think the life lesson in this story is to keep trying and never give up.

The book is about Brian Dudly being a bat boy for the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers just got Brian's all time favorite player, Hank Bishop. Initially, Hank is not friendly and is not the person that Brian wanted him to be. The next thing Brian knew, Hank ended up at Brian's house eating dinner with Brian and his mom. Want to find out more? Then you have to read this book.

Like I said, I would recommend this book to middle schoolers because it was sports oriented and suspenseful.  This made it a much better book than other books that I have read. This is probably one of my favorite books. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
