Juvenile Fiction

The pledge happens to be a crazy, motivating, drama book that I know you will enjoy reading. Having to go to a community group club everyday , keeping your virginity, sex and all types of extra moments that you’ll never believe.

Courtland Murphy feel in love with a star basketball player name Allen Benson which now turns out to be her boyfriend! But their relationship flips at first Allen can be nice and sweet but then turns into a crazy freaky relationship and ever shocking. Everyday Courtland goes to a community Worth the Wait Club and she promises to keep her virginity until marriage “Only a handful of us were virgins, and although I planned to save myself for marriage… Purity pacts, vowing to stay celibate until marriage.” Allen keeps pressuring her to show him that she loves him by having sex “I’m tired of playing games. I know you don’t want to be a virgin anymore it’s all over you… Placing his hand on my thigh… Allen reached for me and places a sloppy kiss on my lips, and then he leaned back and reached for the bottom of his shirt and looked up at me with a grin.” She’s trying to figure out what to do. Courtland’s aunt and Allen are doing something behind Courtland’s back that you will never believe and you might think it nasty!!! Imagine yourself going through what Courtland is going through.

The author was trying to inform us to always keep our pledge when we make it to yourself and if you’re in a group or a club. Never let anybody you like, love or care about force you to do anything you don’t want to do and have self-confidence. The author uses a lot of detail, imagery, and description. The author didn’t really use a lot of scenery language. The book can be very powerful as you first read maybe a few chapters you might think it’s boring but once you get farther through the book you’re going to like it and keep reading it every day until you finish it took me two days to finish the whole book! That’s a new record. This book is very good you’ll want to read more of the author’s books more and more everyday it was very interesting and recommend everybody who reads this review to read the book. “Looking up just as my secret crush, basketball Phenom and star forward Allen Benson, started working the stands, slapping hands and bumping shoulders with everyone within his reach.” The author describes how her crush and what he was doing.

This book can actually giving you a life lesson to keep your pledge even if you’re going through something difficult always keep your pledge. The book left me with a shock when I found out what really happen between Courtland and her aunt and it reminded to always keep my promise and pledge. I recommend everybody who occurs to read this review to read this book it’s very good.
