A Must Read Book: The Help by: Kathryn Stockett
     The book The Help was a wonderful book that left you in suspense if you didn’t finish reading it. The book really made you think and made you make a lot of predictions. I really enjoyed this story, the ending was sort of a cliff hanger even though the story was well thought. If I had to go through the things the people in the story went through I would have given up. This book is both sad and happy. I would have loved the book even more if it was more dramatic.
     This book took place in the 1960s it was about segregation in that time. Aibileen and Minny were two maids who made a risky decision back in their time that they could get killed for at most. Ms. Skeeter did as well she was a nice young white women who was nice to the black folks. Aibileen, Minny, and Ms.Skeeter decided to write book about how there life’s as a maid our and if who there working for is nice to them. Ms. Skeeter wanted to be a writer so she wrote a book about Aibileens and Minnys story. They had to watch out for Mrs. Hilly she would die to bust them. Mrs .Hilly was a rude white woman. She believed in segregation and which she made all of her friends get a separate toilet for their maids.
     I request this book to all middle schoolers and older. It's a really superb story with some dramatic events within. I really enjoyed this book and highly suggest this it. The ending I wish would have been more interesting other then that. It was a very well written story. You get to read all the things each character went through and the hard times.
     Could you imagine going through all of those hard things that the characters in this book went through. Back then segregation was bad people were rude to you if  your skin was another color. They thought you had diseases if you weren’t white. I really loved this book because it showed african americans actually getting to do something without getting hurt back then. This book had me on my toes every chapter.
