The diary of  Anne Frank is an amazing  and sad book about a young jewish girl and her family.  It kept me turning pages to make sure she was okay.  It was very well written and had me crying or relieved the entire time.  At this time in the world it was world war two and the german nazis were going after the jews. Anne and her family were jewish and had to hide so the wouldn't get sent to a concentration camp and get beaten and  starved by hitler and his soldiers.  They made a secret annex in her fathers office so the could hide.  Eventually a green cop found the Annex and they were forced to a camp.  It was very sad because her and her family were separated. I think anyone looking for a sad story should read this because even though its history it's still a great book.  I think i could read this book again, it was so good.
