Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare
I cannot be the only one in the world who believes that Romeo and Juliet isn’t a story of love , it’s a story of fickle behavior paired with strong hatred. Romeo was quite honestly “rebounding” on Juliet, I mean he was ready to die for Rosaline. Though the argument could be made that he wasn’t in love with her or Juliet, he was more in love with the idea of love than being in love. It’s a story of astronomically terrible communication and timing, it wasn’t really ever fate that led to anything bad or good, though fate, was what it was blamed on. It’s ironic how Romeo and Juliet are the poster-couple for love and romance, when they were the epitome of romance and what love is about.
