With great power comes with great responsibility

A few years ago my Dad introduced me to the Rocky movies. My favorite movie in the Rocky series is the 4th one. That movie is about Rocky getting revenge on Ivan Drago, the man who killed Rocky’s best friend Apollo Creed. With all the training, hard work, the tears that Rocky had, and then going off and beating Drago was so satisfying. Now about a month ago I was introduced to Creed. It’s a movie series about an upcoming boxer named Adonis Creed; Apollo Creed’s son. Adonis wants to prove that he is his own dividual and he isn’t going to live in his father’s shadow. The Creed movies are directed by Steven Caple Jr who did a good job with Creed I, but “Creed II” was even better.“Creed II” was a great movie for Adonis to prove the people who doubt him to be as good as his father wrong. I really enjoyed this movie. The reasons why I like this movie is mostly on three topics: the action in the movie, the motivation and inspiration people get from watching this movie is, and how this movie has some drama as well, how could this movie possibly get any better.

The main reason why I like this movie is because of the action/fighting.  Like the very first scene shows Viktor Drago (the antagonist) training in the cold and dreary place of Ukraine. All the people around him could tell from the start that this man is a cold-blooded monster. Quickly after his training, he goes to fight. It took him about 15 seconds to drop this random boxer motionless. This is only the beginning of the movie, plus after that scene, it switches to Adonis Creed. He is preparing to fight the man who took his car, Danny Wheeler. This wasn’t any ordinary fight too. This is the Heavyweight Championship. Adonis was able to knock Wheeler out to bring the belt home and not to mention he gets his car back. That may seem like the biggest fight he would have in his career, but it isn’t. While celebrating the win he sees on the T.V. someone calling him out. It was Viktor Drago the son of Ivan Drago. So in this movie, it seems like the fighting and training won’t ever stop which keeps the movie entertaining.

The second reason why I enjoy this movie is motivation. So when Adonis Creed was fighting Viktor it wasn’t even close as he was getting obliterated by Viktor.  While they were boxing, Adonis' ribs were broken and when Adonis was on the ground Viktor did an uppercut which brought Adonis to the emergency room. Viktor was disqualified which meant Donnie was still the champion, but Viktor didn’t agree with it as he said “ what loss”.  Everyone knew though that he would have easily won as he had beaten Donnie into a bloody pulp. Another reason why I like this movie is that Adonis doesn’t give up. He quickly recovered after the being in critical health and was able to forgive Rocky and then goes back to training, but this time even harder than before.  Donnie trained in the desert where there wasn’t any high-quality equipment, but that didn’t make any difference. As his adrenaline and determination made him even stronger than the last time he prepared for the fight. Now I don’t want to spoil the final fight, but let's just say it was very fun to watch.
