The Marvel cinematic universe is welcoming to viewers who enjoy all types of movie genres  including romance, adventure, mystery, and especially action. Some movies may have more romance than others or less mystery than some, but everyone is packed with seat-gripping, heart-pounding, intense action. Marvel's recent disappointing movies Thor Love and Thunder and Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, left us expecting them to present a film that redeems their good name.

As a huge fan of marvel, I, like many others, went into their new movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever with high hopes. After the beloved actor of black panther, Chadwick Boseman passed away due to cancer, no one knew what was in store for them with this new movie, but they had low expectations. It is safe to say that this movie satisfied my needs for a Marvel movie that had several unexpected events, adventure, and action, and was so good I watched it twice in a row. My low expectations were succeeded greatly with the constant head-turning events.

This movie immediately starts out with the black panther passing away from a disclosed illness which immediately brought tears to my eyes. This would not be the first time my emotions would be targeted. Throughout the movie, there are certain scenes that are most definitely tear-jerkers. Another place is at the end of the movie, Shuri is moving on from her brother, T’challa’s death. The next scene is a collection of Shuri’s memories of T’challa in his prime, happy moments, which definitely triggered my emotions.

This action-packed movie has me thinking that it was going to end several times before it did, it dragged on slightly too long, but that did not take away from the excitement the movie provided for the audience. The people from Talokan, specifically their leader Nemor (Neh-mow), have several battles against Wakanda over a scientist who created a machine that could detect vibranium. These wars were to show how powerful the people of Talokan were. Just the same as every other marvel movie, the heroes spectators suspected would win, eventually won. The storyline was predictable but kept you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

Overall, this new movie was very well done, even though it was pretty predictable. This definitely fulfilled my high hopes of a Marvel movie that was exciting, full of adventure and action and had the perfect ending. This film has increased my expectations to introduce new characters, worlds, and adventures, but not to the extent that it is confusing. Future Marvel movies better watch out because they need to succeed in my expectations as Black Panther did.

This piece was in response to the new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Marvel movie. After watching it several times I decided to review it for a class project because I knew a lot about it. I am a Junior at Arrowhead Highschool and this piece was an assignment for my Composition class.
