The Natural
The Natural is one of the greatest sports movies of all time.
It may be old, but it still has all the great things that I think a sports "feel good movie" should have.
It has a great cast, including the star Robert Redford, who is playing a star pitcher who gets shot and injured, but eventually, because of his love for the game, gets back into baseball and becomes the hero for a failing team.
It has humor in all the right amounts and spots, and yet is serious, and inspirational throughout the movie.
The best scene in the movie is when Robert Redford hits a home run to win the game for his team, and when the ball goes to the stands it breaks the lights. Sparks are flying everywhere as he rounds the bases, with the great theme music playing in the background. Just for that scene alone, you should see this movie.
All in all, this movie is a great one to watch anytime of the year if you just want to sit back, relax, and enjoy some grade A cinema.
