Background/intro   The  movie “Juno” Directed by Juson Reitman, and written by Diablo Cody, was a comedy-drama first premiered September 8, 2007. Juno received a academy award for the best original screen play and also won Oscar nominations such as, best picture and best actress for Ellen page.

Claim  I did like the movie. This movie meant to me teen pregnancy does not always have to be a depression, its not good  but you can make it better if the outcome is good.

Evidence  Line(s)  from the movie that connects to the central idea is, some of the dialogue from the move. Basically the conversations between Juno and other characters in the movie. Like when she first found out that she was pregnant she made it funny because of the language that they were using.

Explanation  I used that piece of evidence  because, I am explaining how they made it funny. Usually  if a teen found out she was pregnant she would be sad and depressed at first, but that was not the case with Juno.
Counter claim   Others  (adults) may think that teens should feel bad for being pregnant at such a young age. But that isn’t always the case. My argument is better because, what is being stressed out and sad going to do for the baby. So it think you should hold tight and stay strong. I’m not on teens side just because I am a teen, because you should wait and be protected but at the same time if it happens it just happens.

Artistic decisions  A very good artistic decisions that they made in this movie is language. The language was very funny and different. I think that it was different in a good way.

Social issue   The main social issues in this movie were teen pregnancy, and adoption.

Summary   The movie Juno was about a 16 year old girl, who got pregnant by her boyfriend Bleeker. In the beginning of her pregnancy, her friend gave her the idea of giving the baby up for adoption. The read a article on a family who cant have a child of their own and set up a appointment to go meet with the family and their lawyer. At the end of the movie the husband decided he didn’t want a baby and divorced his wife. And she took in the baby to take care of him alone.

Commentary   I personally think that this was a good movie, and kept the audience entertained. And that’s the most important part of movie making.
