Music Review/ Van Halen
In 1972 a group of musicians came together and made the band that we all know and love, VAN HALEN. Even though Van Halen made some really really good songs. David Lee Roth´s ego got in the way of their band. So in 1985 the band broke up due to David Lee Roth leaving the band. But not too long after that Sammy Hagar came into the spotlight. Van Halen's very first album in my opinion was the one to rock better than any other album. So Van Halen really did start off on a really good note.
Their best songs from Van Halen 1 is Runnin with the devil, Eruption, Ain't talkin bout love, You really got me, I´m The One, Jamie's Cryin, Atomic Punk, Feel your love tonight, The ones that I personally did not really like were Little Dreamer, Ice Cream Man, And On Fire.
I have always enjoyed the lyrics to Jamie's Cryin because it is slower than most of their songs which makes it a really cool and iconic song in rock n roll history. I also really like how in a lot of parts in the song the whole band is singing like acapella to make a really fun song to listen to.
I really love how Van Halen is really different from different bands because other bands are always trying to do exactly what rock players do but Van Halen does the opposite. They still play rock but it is not exactly what you imagine when you say rock because they have all of the acapella singing but the guitar solos are still like a really hard core rock solo. The producers for all of the songs did a great job with all of the sound effects and were placed in the song and also including the guitar parts with them made their songs so much cooler than without the sound effects being in their songs. I really like how they used the contrast of colors of their album covers because it is way different than any other band because they had four squares with a big Van Halen sign in the middle which made it look really trick. Van Halen's album was so crazy because it had all of their best songs like Eruption. And if you ever ask any Van Halen lover what their favorite solo or song is, It will most likely be Eruption. I feel like Van Halen won Popularity against Motley Crue even though they played the same stuff.
