Let It Be- The Beatles
The song 'Let It Be' by The Beatles holds so much power. Both written and sung by Sir Paul McCartney, the brilliant track was in fact the last Beatles single to be released before he announced his departure from the band. McCartney talked about the inspiration from this song when going on to say he "...had a dream in the Sixties where my mum who died came to me in a dream and was reassuring me, saying: 'It's gonna be OK. Just let it be...". This song personally brings me peace as it does for thousands. You can hear the powerful emotions behind his voice. It’s beautiful with the right amount of instrument, not overpowering the message and sound. Overall, such a magnificent single.
