Hold on Tight by Hey Monday
Originating in Florida, this power pop-punk band knows how to infuse their hometown essence into their music. For instance, their song "Hurricane Streets" is an energetic tune explaining with heart, their personal experiences with the South-Eastern natural disaster. But what's a youth-based album without heart break, love, and adventure, with "6 months", an honest acoustic ballad discussing Cassadee's (Lead Singer), long distance relationship and how absence makes the heart grow fonder. Or "Obvious," a fast paced effort about how to live in the moment when you're with the one you love. All in all, this is a powerful album, is extremely enjoyable, and definitely worth the purchase.
