And So It Goes by Billy Joel
When I first heard "And So It Goes" played on the piano without words, I had to search for the lyrics. The music was breathtaking. The simple strokes of figers on the piano made a whole difference in this song. "And So It Goes" by Billy Joel one of the saddest and best love songs you might just ever hear. The poetic beat keeps the song going, and the lyrics just make it better.

"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
"And so I'd chose to be with you / That's if the choice were mine to make / But you can make decisions, too, / And you can have this heart to break."
My breath always hitches at these lines. The first time I heard this song, it was the day after I went through a break-up. To this day it's a song I listen to whenever I feel down, to be sad for saddness sake. An amazing song, one I hope everyone hears at least once.
