Friday by Rebecca Black
“Friday” by Rebecca Black
The song Friday by Rebecca Black has received over a million views on YouTube over night. It amazes me how a singer with very little talent can become so popular with a song merely because it was Autotuned. Not even the lyrics send a significant message because all they repeat are the days of the week. It shows how easy it is these days to become well known in our society. Rebecca Black’s song has a catchy beat that people remember which is why it spread so fast. Also, without the use of Autotune, I don’t think the video would have received half the views it has. Anyone can make a song using Autotune because it masks how bad their voice really is. Overall, I dislike the song “Friday” because it has no musical significance and Rebecca Black should not be as well known as she now is.
