Teen Dream by Beach House
Teen Dream: Beach House
Lets not mince words Teen Dream is amazing. Its multi-layered, rich, illustrated music with Victoria Legrand’s lush vocals guiding you throughout this experience with attentive care to background music. On “Zebra,” the starting track. Legrand’s Nico-esque vocals permeate the simplistic, yet robust drum machine background, Legrand’s keyboard, which seems to be a different sound from verse to chorus, and seeming on one day a chord organ and another, an accordion. Buy this, not that Katy Perry album with a similar name.
Key Tracks: “Zebra” “Used To Be” “Take Care”
Grade: 4.5
