Twenty One Pilot’s album, Blurryface, can easily be described as beautifully written and very catchy.   The meaningful lyrics, which touches upon relatable issues that people face, made this album one of my favorites.  To represent what band member, Tyler Joseph, feels about performance and music, the made up character, Blurryface, was created.  Feeling insecure is one of the main themes of this album.  Emotionally I was able to connect to lyrics like – “I was told when I get older all my fears would shrink, but now I’m insecure and I care would people think”, from the song Stressed Out and “We don’t believe what’s on T.V., because it’s what we want to see, and what we want, we know we can’t believe, we have all learned to crush our dreams”, from the song, We Don’t Believe What’s On T.V..  The writers of this band really put their heart and soul into what they’re singing, which is clearly shown in the expressive and deep lyrics.  Even if you can’t relate to them, there’s no doubt that these songs are lyrically brilliant.  Furthermore, the instruments played by the band members are really terrific.  Personally, the piano and drums in the background are well played and impressive.  I can really hear the passion and emotion in what the band members have in their playing, as well as the singing and rapping.  Blurryface is a wonderful album and I can’t wait for what Twenty One Pilots has in store for fans in the future.
