Payday 2 on Xbox 360
Released back on August 13th of 2013, Payday 2 is an action-packed FPS, or first-person shooter. This sequel to Payday: The Heist features a single player and a cooperative multiplayer experience. While both are enjoyable, the multiplayer system is far better than the single player. One team of four human players fights through SWAT teams or other thugs to cash in big at the end of the day. Although the game features a variety of different objectives, the main mechanic of the game serves as a horde mode. Wave after wave of enemies will continue to oppose the human team until the team can finally escape with their haul.
The gameplay is phenomenal, but perhaps the most fun part of the game is the complete customization available to the player. Each player can choose his or her load out and body armor, as well as choosing a class to assign attribute points into. Each class has it’s own perks, which gives the game good diversity. With all of these customizable stats, the ability to create a mask is the best part of the game. The mask itself is won through finishing missions and being lucky. Once a mask is acquired, the player can change: the color, the pattern, and the material. With the multitude of options, every human player is different.
Payday 2 blends an addictive and fast-paced gameplay with a perfectly customizable player into a game worth every penny.
