If you are bad at something you must admit it before you can get better.

You wake up from your bed and look around. You have been transported into a world of blocks. Cows and sheep are block like; even the sun is a block. You see a sign it says “The first step, wood”. You find a tree but have nothing to chop it down with. No problem, karate chop and it breaks. Then another sign appears “Step two, food” You kill some pigs in a nearby forest. You read the next sign “Step 3 shelter” Quickly you build a crafting table and make a make shaft hut. The night is upon you, you try to sleep, but can’t for you have no bed. Suddenly, you hear a noise. A zombie moans and starts to break your door. You grab your sword and swiftly strike it down, but to only see a grimmer future. Hordes of hostile creatures outside hissing, moaning, and running around. Then from behind, you hear a “sssssssssssssssssssssssssssss” and the back of your house is destroyed, a creeper has attacked. You run, but have no more food to sprint. Hostile mobs surround you. Fear in your eyes. An arrow hits you in the back and a creeper explodes and you drop your items. This day will be remembered as your first death and will not be your last. For you have entered the wonderful world of Minecraft a game that I have played for years and never got bored. Today you will learn about this popular game, why I like it, some fun facts, and why some people are just haters.
My favorite part about Minecraft is that it is never ending because I hate those games that when you beat them you have to restart and do the same thing over again. Also, it really brings out your creative side and has actually been used in kindergartens to help children learn to use blocks, count, and be creative. Another thing I enjoy about it is the amount of choices and strategy involved in it. For example what kind of time period your buildings are from, if you want to get into the building part, the survival part, killing part, or on servers the mini game part. It has so many things you can do, it can never get boring. However, I do not recommend this game for people who like there to be a set plot, having restrictions, or plain out people who have trouble with creativity.
I have found many things about this game you might find interesting. One fact is, that Minecraft is one the most played games throughout the world. It was made in Sweden as an indie game and since has sky rocketed in popularity. Also, there are millions of people who play the game and thousands of mods for increasing the fun. Another fun fact is that some of the top YouTubers do Minecraft lets plays, have a server, or even make Minecraft parodies of popular songs. A few of these YouTubers are Captain Sparklez, Sky Does Minecraft, The Syndicate Project, asf Jerome, and many more.
Like all good games however, there are the haters. These are some things I got from people in my class. Not enough action, which is true if you don’t go find it in the game. Could do it in real life, which you could but is fun if you don’t have the materials, money, or a nerd like me. Bad graphics, which the game does purposefully. It is suppose to be all blocks to make things simpler and so it is like a blast from the past. Unrealistic, this is true, but aren’t all games. In COD you respawn that’s not realistic. In GTA you can just blow anything up you want and never get caught and the cops are dumb. That’s not going to happen. In real life you’ll get the F.B.I after you and they will take you down. Finally in Madden foot ball series you can choose the height, weight and skills of your player and can easily out run the other team. That never happens in real life. As you have seen, many things have been said about Minecraft and they are true, but it’s all up to how you see it since it is very different depending on the kind of person you are. I hope you liked this review and are asking to get the game now. Enter the realm of blocks and let your creativity show.
