I smile

I smile.
I lay in the cold morning rain.
The grass tickles my back.
The cool air kisses my face.
I look up at the ocean-like sky.
I pick at the clovers beneath my hand.
I smile.
In this yard I feel no pain
Happiness sure is something I lack.
I watch two ants they look as if they are in a race
I watch as birds fly.
Oh, how I love this land.
I smile.
