Simple Scratch
Would it hurt someone
If they but all stopped
That beautiful red
You are letting seep out
Is what is keeping you alive
Each one
A reminder of a terrible happening
Why would you want it
It’ll just lead to another
And another
It’s gushing
It falls to the ground
And you smile
It feels perfect
But it’s not
You’re ruining yourself
And you don’t care
What is wrong with you!
You’re killing yourself
Stop!
But no, it feels wonderful
Paradise almost
Just one more time
It won’t hurt
But it will
Why can’t you stop
It’s like an addiction
You want to, have to
But you need it
Man it’s awesome
Wait!
What about my friends
They don’t care
My new friends are doing it
But do they care
I think
They’re doing the same
But why
Because we’re miserable
To get away
But that’s what vacations are for
To take
With family
And have fun
With the ones who really care
No!
Just continue what you were doing
To let others in
They don’t understand
They never will
But wait, they care
For me
And they’ll help me
Because they love me
Maybe I shouldn’t have started
People who care
Want to help
But I won’t let them
Maybe I should
And maybe I should stop destroying My wrists
