Abusive
Animals are treated as they should be
don’t try to tell me
They don’t deserve what they are getting
We can use them for our own benefit
with the payment of their lives
It is wrong to think
We need to protect them
They are animals and
We are superior to them
Animals are good for nothing
You are wrong when you say
They deserve equality
Animals are not human so
What dignifies how we are supposed to treat them
We are the generation of abusers
It's not ok that
Some people may have the courage to defend them
The animals
Who is going to fight for them
When we need them to survive
Many of our lives depends solely on the lives of animals
Who really cares how the animals feel
Ask yourself a question
Are they really a necessity?
This may be true, unless you read this in reverse

This piece was inspired by the poem "The Lost Generation" and I wrote it about animal abuse because it is a rising problem that needs to be stopped.
