I grew up here,
I was raised here
This body of water raised me
This is my second home
For the love of Mother Nature
For the love of mankind
Looking at it is poetry in motion
I see my past in the crevasses of it
I can see my future in it
Oh God bless this body of water!
For nature has cleansed my eyes from all harm
and took my soul refusing to give it back
Someday, I'll seek this river again
The memories will flood my mind again...
