The Savage Kind of Peace MAG

War
is a place, a time,
true things ancient, told as lore,
never seen as a crime
and struggle is the norm.
Violence
is the survival of brutes
who call themselves gents
with their proud warrior roots
and armor that glints.
Their fathers of fathers of … fathers of war
sat with their staffs
and stood with their swords
and fought with the clash
of a wound still sore.
