No, You Cannot MAG
It is a new nation,
a nation that proudly proclaims:
“Yes we can.”
But what power holds “yes we can,”
when America has told many of our
brothers and sisters
“no, you cannot”?
You cannot follow your heart.
You cannot move forward.
You cannot take a hand.
You cannot break the mold.
“Marriage is a holy bond
for a man and a woman
it is not yours to taint,” they say.
Where is the future?
Relentlessly we must
keep striving for a better day.
We must stop this hatred
and bring about change in the
wake of defeat.

If it's a sin then it's not okay at all. If you are a Christian and you know the Bible says something is wrong then you would do everything in your power to keep away from that sin.
So many people seem to think that Christianity is something that lets you keep doing whatever you want and then ask for forgiveness on Sunday and everything is okay. It's not okay. Forgiveness only comes when the person seeking forgiveness is truly sorry for their sins. Salvation is the same way.
I'm not saying that Christians have to be perfect, but I am saying that true Christians try and get better rather than staying in their sin.
Sorry for the rant, but this is a dangerous and common misconception of Christianity that can't be ingnored.
I think you misread my comment. I feel the same way you do actually. What i was trying to tell breakdancegirl is that by her using the bible to put down those who chooe that path of living a gay lifestyle or any lifestyle goes against the word that she is preaching.
Jewish...don't care i dont think any differently of you. in fact my mother swears that im heading in that direction. im the type of person that sees people as human...not as black or white...or christian or jewish...or straight or gay...just human. People.
You should make sure you fully understand someones comment before making remarks, such as them being 'closed minded". But thats something else, and it doesn't matter, but I was upset that it was made when obiviously you misinterpreted what i was saying.
But we all misread sometimes. ..it doesn't matter. i still love you..your not going to become the jewish person who called me closed minded on teenink, just a person.
