My Angel
Memories flit by,
As cherry blossoms fall slowly,
tears slide down my cheek.
My fallen angel,
Artist turned soldier,
Our joy was taken.
To fields of dark war,
Where your wings have been taken,
Weighed down by the sword.
Duty to country?
Duty to me, to yourself?
Duty to your art?
Tears slide down my cheek,
As cherry blossoms fall slowly,
I hear footsteps near.
My head turns around,
Eyes widen in shock and joy,
My angel is home.
