Isolating Myself For the Greater Good
Yesterday I heard the news about you
It’d be a lie to say I wasn’t shocked
I wasn’t happy to see you were blue
Now you know the torture of being blocked
Caring for somebody who doesn’t care
Because they are in love with someone new
It’s apparent from the way they stare
And soon they seem to forget about you
Now that she’s gone, I can expect you back
It wouldn’t be wise to fall for you twice
I cannot withstand another attack
Everyone’s telling me the old advice
I forget my defense when you are near
You are toxic to my sanity dear.
