Shadows of Tomorrow, MF DOOM – Pop Sonnet
Today, a shadow cast by morrow's plight,
The present's echo, future's faint array,
Yesteryear's guise, now fading into night,
Darkness of past, where echoes softly sway.
The light, a beacon in the days of yore,
Days numbered, memories held in its thrum,
In a world that danced on history's floor,
Once upon a time, the past did come.
But yesterday, a realm for those now gone,
The dead, their tales woven in time's vast sea,
The past, a fading echo's quiet song,
Today, a glimpse of what tomorrow may be.
Yet in my eyes, a brighter truth does gleam,
Reality's embrace, an endless stream.
