In the Shadows of Parting

Within these walls, where whispers softly tread,
My mother's tears, like silent prayers, are shed.
Her grief, a tempest, fierce and wild,
Yet in her storm, I stand, her steadfast child.

The veil of sorrow, thin and worn, reveals
A truth profound, which time no longer seals.
My grandfather, with life's last breath entwined,
Calls me to his side, the mortal chain unbind.

In this sacred space, where endings blend with starts,
A newfound spirituality awakens in our hearts.
His weary eyes, aglow with fading light,
Impart a wisdom, piercing through the night.

"Come closer, child," his voice, a gentle breeze,
In his final hour, he gifts me peace with ease.
