Your Second Best
Tonight I have a front row seat
by the phone awaiting on you call,
I'm usually the one you always turn to but, lately I'm nothing at all.
I'm always the one to wipe your tears away
the one to make you smile
the one to make you feel all right,
though I haven't in awhile.
Your face I have not forgotten
though now its begun to slightly blur but,
maybe that's because you left me.
You left me for her.
The girl that's never there for you,
The girl that doesn't care,
The girl that tore your heart apart,
Yet I'm replaced.. Since when is that fair?
I'd rid you out my life for good but,
I promised I'd never leave.
I don't have the guts to anyway,
so I'll sit by the phone and grieve.
Awaiting on your phone call,
to hear your saddened voice
because when she leaves you'll return to me,
Inside I will rejoice.
Remember I'm here waiting;
I will never turn you away.
I'm always your SECOND choice baby.
HIP, HIP FREAKIN HOORAY
