when will winter end
how long must the winter frost own this land?
for there is nothing better than summer
when my hair will shine and my skin is tanned
this consuming cold is such a bummer
when the bright flakes fall i shortly smile
that fleeting happiness soon fades away
flakes melt to mush and inches are miles
and in the summer sun i long to play
one thing remains thru summer and winter
to this i turn in sunlight and shadow
there in the sky those royal gems cluster
those whitest beads outshine the dismal snow
until the streets are clear of all this ice
the stars provide for me light and advice
