Resisting the Devil
Your kisses always take my breath away.
The words rise in my throat but they're not true
I choke on words I know I shouldn't say
Despite your charm I'm not in love with you.
I thought that all I needed was your touch.
I wanted to find somewhere to belong.
Your crushing lips on mine are far too much.
Such passion without feeling must be wrong.
I swore you were the devil when we met.
Your whispers, your caresses feel like sin.
You coax me to do something I'd regret.
Your fingertips leave scorch-marks on my skin.
It feels good, but I know it must not be.
I don't love you. I know you don't love me.
