Over time people die
Memories fade away
We mourn, we cry
And just like that, gone is today
There are many today’s
Each different than the last
Some go by with laze
While others go by fast
We doze as the first the snow falls
Falling down and down until it hits the ground
The winter wind calls
As hard as we try, there is no getting around
We can’t hold on to time, try as we may
Because time has a habit of getting away
