The Rain: Life Has Pain
It falls from the sky to the bare rooftop.
Each tings with rhythm, softly, so gentle.
They are crystal clear, pure, so fast they drop!
They mean much more to me, sentimental.
It’s a brand new earth, it’s a brand new land,
The rain comes and washes clean and pristine.
Now that the ground is stripped of gritty sand,
Outside my window is aquamarine.
First it’s refreshing, but then there’s a SPLAT.
First on my forehead, then PLOP on my hand.
Where did it come from, can you tell me that?
I fixed a past leak, I don’t understand.
There will always be a dripping wet leak,
But that’s life, no need to feel sad or weak.
