If only I could be

What no one else expected

Something different, a new me

One that was not acted



If only I could let go

I would set myself free

If I could only show

Maybe they could see



If only I could not fall

If mistakes were not so often

Never again would I bawl

Oh how much my life would brighten



"If Only", such an overused phrase

I know that I am human

And while I have the abilty to amaze

I can always be beaten



If only, if only

Well if only I could see

What others seem to believe of me

If only I could be

Honestly, I am a terrible at writing poems. But one day I sat at my computer felt the strange need to express my feelins in a poem. So I did.
