Quitting can never be a decision,
When it feels like something is way too hard,
When your world is having a collision,
Do not allow yourself to be scarred.
Some people will say you’ll never make it,
They’ll be the obstructions in you trail,
In you you'll have to obtain lots of spirit,
To not allow them to make you derail,
Stay focused on one positive self goal,
Do not compare yourself to any peers,
Look at the person you are as a whole,
With valor you can conquer all your fears,
Just throw your shoulders back, smile, and stand tall,
With courage you will never ever fall.

The author's comments:
I wrote this sonnet about a year ago. My best friend was going through some hard times. Her parents had just gotten a divorce and I wrote this for her.
