Death Came To Me
Death came to me - where I laid,
With a single touch - he took me away.
My soul gone,
But my body stayed.
They can never forget that day -
The day Death claimed me -
For all to see.
That day will live in infamy.
Today,
My breath crept away -
And my body didn't sway -
And cold as a winters day.
They could not masquerade
The tears that strayed.
As a once beautiful ended
Sadness ascended.
