Spring
Almost dying together, I was born
A surprise I was, you gave me love
Through thick and thin we would never be torn
But baring those tubes, hearts became black doves
Shadow abandoning me, I was alone
Though when facing the beast you stayed with me
Sick and weak you led me through the unknown
I wish the world could see how it needs thee
Maybe if it did all kids could be blithe
Because their heads are the ones that need mending
Maybe then I won't ever feel writhe
Through realization, I've come to befriend
Even some who I've all hated the most
Mom, you're a healer I grant you this toast.
