Blonde Ops by Charlotte Bennardo and Natalie Zaman
Love, fashion, and kidnappings. Which one does not belong? Kidnappings would be the obvious choice, yet the theme finds its way side-by-side with the others in Blonde Ops. A trouble-child due to her computer expertise, lands sixteen-year old Bec a one-way ticket to Rome to intern at one of the world’s top fashion magazines. Sounds like a treat? Not for Bec who has to deal with cranky bosses, two mysterious lovers, and the mysterious accident that leaves her without the one person she could trust- her guardian Parker.
Not only do things heat up during the shootings, but with the arrival of the First Lady security is stepped up. Soon Bec is beginning to question everyone around her, because she does not who to trust. Bec vows to find out who wanted to hurt Parker, who happens to look like the First Lady. Was it a coincidence? Bec finds out on a thrilling series of events.
In a seamless blend between two authors- Charlotte Bennardo and Natalie Zaman- the story moves along at a quick pace. You will find yourself unable to put the book down as, like Bec, you want to know who is safe to trust and who is after the First Lady. A unique novel that perfectly blends together a mystery, with a dash of love, and a pinch of fashion is truly fitting for any girl to read as it hits aspects of everyone’s interest. If I was you, I would grab my hands on a copy because it surely will be one of my best reads of 2014.
