"Don't gain the world and lose your soul....wisdom is better than silver or gold."

"You can always close a book, but you can never close the mind of a writer."

The Sun smiles and tells a story
that no one has heard before,
but it doesn't have to be hidden,
or forgotten anymore.

The sea, wind and sky
were together as a whole.
The mountains, plains and deserts
were all part of the same soul.

The fire, rain and snow
came with all their power.
The lightning and the thunder
became frozen before the hour.

The trees, bushes and grasses
All held their mighty stance.
The birds, flies and fishes
were all given the chance.

But the Earth was meant to change,
so the Sun had to too.
And she forgot all she'd seen
And all she had been through.

But when the wind blows just right,
and when the waves calm in the sea,
The Sun remembers the beauty
and she shares her memory.

Thanks for commenting on my Dream Girl's Prayer. I really like this poem. It's beautiful and magical. If something that I read or watch enchants me, which what yours did, that is a VERY good sign. I loved it. It's beautiful, graceful, peaceful, beautiful, and you have a talent for poetry.

Wow! I love the way this poem flows, you did such a great job on the uniformity of the syllables and the rhyme scheme was perfect. My favorite part are the last two lines. Your personification is impeccable, this is REALLY a great piece! Keep it up! And thanks so much for the comment on "Love, Your Big Sis" I hope you will come check out some of my other work. Thanks again, and wonderful job!

I really love this poem!! Though the rhyming style is classic, your subject and the way the words work together is so original. Thanks for commenting on my poem "Regrets," by the way ;).

Wow. This poem is great. The second stanza is definately my favorite. I really enjoyed reading this piece, and hope that you write more like it in the future. By the way, thanks for the feedback on "My People". You are truly an amazing writer yourself.
